Good to know
01 Do retaining walls need council approval?
In most WA councils, walls retaining under half a metre generally do not need approval, and higher walls do. We will confirm the rules with your council for your specific job before we build.
02 Why do retaining walls fail?
Almost always poor drainage or no proper footing. Water builds up behind the wall and pushes it over. Every wall we build includes proper drainage and compacted backfill so it performs for the long term.
03 Limestone or concrete blocks?
Limestone is the classic Perth look and very forgiving in sand. Concrete blocks give a sharper modern line. Both are strong when built right, so it usually comes down to the look you want and budget.
